Athena Grad Helps Bring Home a National Championship

Wrianna Hudson gave her hometown a huge reason to cheer by delivering one of the biggest goals in college soccer. The former Athena High School standout (Class of 2024) scored the championship-winning goal to lift Florida State to the 2025 NCAA Women's College Cup title in December 2025.

Greece Teacher to Travel to South Sudan to Share Stories of Hope, Leadership

For over a decade, Vicki Richardson and her Greece Athena Middle School students, inspired by the book A Long Walk to Water, have raised funds for Water for South Sudan (WFSS), helping to construct five life-changing wells. This dedicated effort will reach a powerful milestone in December when Richardson, now WFSS Vice President, travels to South Sudan to personally document the profound impact of these projects and the resilience of the communities served.
