Operation Safe Stop Aims to Reduce Number of Motorists Who Pass Stopped School Buses

National School Bus Safety Week takes place October 20–24, and the Greece Central School District is partnering with local law enforcement to remind drivers of one simple but life-saving rule: when the red lights are flashing, stop for the school bus. This year, Operation Safe Stop, a statewide initiative aimed at reducing illegal school bus passes, will be held on Wednesday, October 22. Police agencies across New York will be out in force monitoring school bus routes and ticketing drivers who fail to stop.

Reminder: K-8 Early Dismissal Day, Thursday, October 30 & No School PreK-8 on Friday, October 31

Thursday, October 30 is an early dismissal day for grades K–8  and there is no school for PreK-8 students on Friday, October 31 to allow for parent-teacher conferences. Please review the linked dismissal schedule and arrange for an adult to be home to meet younger students when they arrive home.
