Weekly COVID-19 Case Updates

Positive Case Notifications for the February 22

February 24, 2021

We have been notified of the following new positive cases of COVID-19 within our school community:

  • A Brookside Elementary School staff member who was last at work on February 23;
  • An Arcadia Middle School student who was last at school in March; and,
  • A Holmes Road Elementary School student who was last at school on February 12.

February 23, 2021

We have been notified of the following new positive cases of COVID-19 within our school community:

  • A Brookside Elementary School staff member who was last at work on February 12;
  • An Athena Middle School student who was last at school on February 8;
  • A Brookside Elementary School student who was last at school on February 11;
  • A West Ridge Elementary School student who was last at school on February 11;
  • An Arcadia High School student who was last at school on February 12; and,
  • An Olympia staff member who was last at work on February 12.

February 22, 2021

The following new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in our school community:

  • Two Transportation employees who were last at work on February 12;
  • An Athena Middle School student who was last at school in March;
  • An Olympia student who was last at school on February 8; and,
  • A Transportation employee who was last at work on February 11.

The district is working with the Monroe County Department of Public Health to identify any close contacts. Each affected school building/facility will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Per privacy guidelines, no additional personally-identifying information can be shared about the individuals who tested positive. Anyone identified as a close contact will be personally notified by a health department representative. All others do not need to quarantine or be tested at this time.

Please stay home if you or your children are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nasal congestion, or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
