Board Policy Updates
-
The Policy Committee is chaired by the Board of Education (BOE) President and comprised of one to two other BOE member(s). The Superintendent shall act as an advisor to the Board on the adoption and approval of written Board Policies. The Board shall seek input where appropriate. These guides for discretionary action shall constitute the policies governing the operation of the Greece Central School District.
The adoption and/or the review of a written policy shall occur only after the proposal has been reviewed and discussed by the Policy Committee (i.e. the “first reading”) and moved forward by the consensus of the committee to the regular meeting of the BOE. The adoption of the policy shall only occur after the proposal has been moved, discussed, and voted on affirmatively at a meeting of the BOE.
The following policies were approved at the April 2, 2025 Board of Education Meeting. (Click on each policy name to see the policy language.)
