Mental Health & Wellness
-
The Greece Central School District recognizes as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes their own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to their community. We believe that mental health is a component of overall health and well-being.
As part of overall health and wellness, mental health includes:
- A sense of self-esteem and self-confidence;
- The ability to identify, express and regulate emotions;
- The ability to set and achieve goals;
- Recognition of one’s creatives skills;
- The ability to expand knowledge and skills;
- The ability to feel and show empathy for others;
- The ability to create and maintain satisfying relationships.
Greece utilizes School Counselors, School Psychologists and School Social Workers to support this integrated mental health and wellness model. Our mental health team utilizes their education and expertise to provide support to students, families, classroom staff, and administrators.
