Pesticide Notification Requirements
-
New York State Education Law Section 409-H, effective July 1, 2001, requires all public and nonpublic elementary and secondary schools to provide written notification to all persons in parental relation, faculty, and staff regarding the potential use of pesticides throughout the school year or summer school period.
The Greece Central School District is required to maintain a list of persons in parental relation, faculty, and staff who wish to receive 48-hour prior written notification of certain pesticide applications.
Forms are available at every school and can be downloaded by clicking here. Return the form by fax to: (585) 966-2741, Attention: Operations Supervisor, or have your child's school send it to: Christopher Luther, Director of Facilities, or mail it to the Director of Facilities, 1790 Latta Road, Rochester, NY 14612.
Families will be notified by automated phone message if any non-exempt pesticide applications are made on any of our fields or schools 48-hours prior to pesticide applications.
